Family Vacation with Carnival Cruise
Family vacation can be stressful—but not with Carnival Cruise! No matter what your interests are, there is something for everyone aboard the ship: pools, hot tubs, and slides; casinos, live performance shows, and nightlife; breakfast, lunch, and dinner—all included. And that’s just the beginning of the fun! When you’re on a cruise, each day brings a new adventure as you stop at various ports. I can’t think of an easier way to explore multiple cultures and destinations during a limited timeframe.
My family went on a 5 day cruise with two stops in the Bahamas. Cruise ships offer a variety of excursions which tend to be a bit on the pricey side, so my family struck out on our own adventure. In Freeport, we took a taxi to a beautiful (if crowded) aqua-toned beach. In Nassau, we shopped downtown and hiked up the Queen’s Staircase before heading to Arawak Cay, where we feasted on conch and ceviche at Goldie’s Conch House and were treated to a lesson on how to catch and prepare conch.
Back on the ship, a highlight of each evening was dressing up for a nice family dinner and enjoying each other’s company over a long, bountiful meal after a day spent soaking up the sun by the pool or exploring the local sights and sounds at port. If you’re looking for a holiday that will be a crowd pleaser, there’s no denying that our cruise experience was fun for the whole family!
